A sigh for reality

I haven’t been myself lately

Feel like everyone around me’s snaky

Cos selfishness is a trait in everyone’s genes

Not even a debate, it’s just how it is

Cos morals are lost, almost non-existent

We all fell into the trap, of this structured existence

Feel like no-one understands or grasps the sad reality

That born alone, die alone, is a bad mentality

How can you find happiness in a world so heartless

Where the elite control, discreet

And we’re ignorant to the hidden commandments

Sex sells, celebrity lifestyle excels

Buy this, buy that, and you’ll live your life well

Those, ‘You’re nice but I’ve seen someone else,

Who’s good to the eye’ – cold mindless lines

Moving on cos we can’t find the energy

For a relationship to continue in loves prosperity

To grow a bond that makes us stronger than just one

Seems there’s always one puzzle piece

That has been lost from the box
