Ex

Wandering down the street of my mind
I saw you standing there
But you were faded
I couldn’t really see your face

An altered perception from what I once believed
You are different
My old eyes burned
I see you with my new eyes

My vision has worsened
But my inner eye is more insightful and wise
My old eyes were naive and young
But their specks of green and brown have matured

A silhouette of love
But you transformed
My heart that was so full in my chest
Breathes free with the space you once owned

Wow, this is refreshing. Different and original compared to the usual missing my ex stuff.

This is strong Kiri, keep up the good work.
