About

Ok, well. Firstly I am here writing this blog thanks to my good friend Andrew Davis who encouraged me to stop talking about all my ideas and start doing them. (So thanks Andrew, I’ll dedicate you a poem somewhere…) If you haven’t read his e-book ‘The 10 Commandments of Social Media’ already and you work in music in particular then I suggest you do http://theworstkeptsecret.com

If you visited me via Ronnie Herel’s blog then great, thanks Ronnie, if not he’s another one to check out http://ronnieherel.co.uk/ for updates on all things R&B.

This blog has been set up initially for my poetry, which is an insight into my thoughts and opinions. For as long as I can remember I have written, whether it be songs, poetry, a diary or magazine articles. I can even remember the very first time I scrawled my name at the age of three, completely chuffed with myself! I had prime spot on the fridge door. Maybe it was the encouragement from early that inspired me to want a career in writing.

One of my other biggest passions is music. Music is definitely food for the soul. And since I’m not a singer, poetry is my creation of soul food.

My passion for both writing and music has led me to be involved in various aspects of the UK ‘urban’music scene. My first experience was working for Urbeatz music whilst I was studying journalism at Sunderland University. http://urbeatz.com At Urbeatz I was given the title of A&R for Young Kof, which introduced me to a number of events since.

In the past I have co-set up events, some promoting anti-gun and knife crime campaigns. Which have included artists such as Doneao, Dotstar, Nu Brand Flexxx, Princess Nyah, Kayo and B-Moni, comedians, a fashion show and an art exhibition.

I also have a radio show supporting UK rap music every Wednesday 9.30-11.30pm on http://www.breaklondon.co.uk where my guests have included D Double E, Sway, Fem Fel and more!

For now I have many ideas that I want to fulfil. So I am using this blog as my starting point, so feel free to follow my blog and join me on my journey. Stay tuned for more poetry and music related things!

Happy Reading :) ©
